Full Bloom The Library is in full bloom with beautiful flowers outside and wonderful new books inside. Thank you, volunteers. We’re now at 1,465 patrons, which means roughly 25 percent of Wahkiakum residents have a Cathlamet Public Library card!
Passes Need a Discoverer Pass? We have them. Need a Columbia River Maritime Museum pass? We have them. Each pass is a family-type pass, which means many people are accommodated with just one pass. It works best to come into the library ahead of time and reserve your pass for when you need it. Stay tuned, more passes for other venues may be coming.
Book Bingo This summer there is an Adult Summer Reading challenge – Book Bingo. Read a variety of books and you win a prize. How hard is that? It’s easy, just stop by the Library and pick-up the form. Prizes are being offered by Little Island Creamery and Puget Island Gardens. How cool is that?
Bald Eagle Days There will be various inside Library activities during Bald Eagle Days. One of them is the Build a Paper Boat Craft challenge. Bring the kids. Bring yourself. See what you can do with your building and boat skills. Another option is the Build a Book Mark activity. Let your creative juices flow. We’ll see you there.
Parade Volunteers We’re asking for Bald Eagle Day Parade volunteers. We’re looking for kids and adults to walk, ride, or roll with us in the parade. Show your civic support, public pride, and just down-right thankfulness for our Cathlamet Public Library. Heck, it only takes about half an hour. Easy-peasy. The more the merrier. Just stop by the Library and sign-up.
Summer Reading Activity The kids are enjoying their summer reading activity program, which started June 26. There were over 30 kids and volunteers at Erickson Park on our first day. You may be asking yourself, “Is it too late? Can my kids still come and participate?” Of course. Come one, come all every Thursday from 1 – 2 p.m. at Erickson Park. The program ends July 31. Just stop by the Library and sign up.
