Theresa Jan Dobbins

Theresa "Terry" Jan Dobbins, longtime Cathlamet resident, 78, died on Thursday, July 3, in Wasilla, Alaska where she had lived since 2008. Terry was born on January 24,1947 in Herlong, Calif. Her parents Ronald and Carol Grebbs preceded her in death.

Terry was raised in California and married Bobby Dobbins on Oct. 1, 1966. They moved to Cathlamet where they raised their family. Terry attended LCC in Longview and received her RN degree there. She worked as an IV Tech, and RN for Dr. Avalon where she was well known in the community. She was on the Cathlamet First Aid Division as a first responder for many years. Terry was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, and loved time with her family and her dogs.

Terry was preceded by her husband Bobby in 2005 and her brother Vince Grebbs. Terry is survived by her sons, Lee and Gary Dobbins and a daughter Cora Dobbins, two sisters Maxine Shaw and Lowell Gavito, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday July 18th at Greenwood Cemetery at 2 p.m.. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
