As Clatskanie area residents head off to trade schools, community colleges, and universities this fall, many of them will be assisted in meeting their expenses with Clatskanie Foundation scholarships.
This year, the Foundation awarded 30 separate scholarships to 27 post-secondary students totaling $59,000. This is the largest amount ever given by the Foundation for a single school year. Since 1998, the Foundation has awarded over $600,000 in scholarships to local students.
The scholarship funds have been established through generous donations by individuals, families, and organizations. They are invested, managed, and administered by the Foundation.
