Sept 8 8:07 a.m. A service truck was reportedly speeding on Deep River Road. 6:44 p.m. Wahkiakum fire districts responded to a brush fire on Brookfield Road. 8:30 p.m. A caller reported hearing gunshots coming from the end of Mill Creek and then heard several vehicles driving off. Deputies patrolled the area but did not see or hear anything nefarious. 9:27 p.m. A Puget Island resident called to complain that a tenant of a neighboring property had been harassing them and following them home. Deputies arrived and formally trespassed the person from the caller’s residence.
Sept 9 1:29 a.m. A Cathlamet resident was transported to the hospital for dizziness and pain.
Sept 10 9:07 a.m. The Cathlamet Emergency Services responded to transport a Cathlamet resident to the hospital for ongoing dizziness. 9:13 a.m. A driver on SR 4 in Skamokawa called to report a vehicle without a driver that was down an embankment. 10:53 a.m. A driver on SR4 reported that two large trash bags fell out of a truck, were struck by another vehicle, and are now scattered all over the eastbound lanes near River Ridge Road. 8:53 p.m. A concerned citizen called to complain about two unknown white vans that were parked on Puget Island, stating they were “weird,” but refused to answer any further questions.
Sept 11 6:55 a.m. A caller in Cathlamet reported two loose dogs who were running around on Spring St. and barking aggressively. 9:00 p.m. The Cathlamet Ambulance responded to assist a Cathlamet resident who had lost consciousness.
Sept 12 8:23 a.m. A Rosburg resident received a disturbing phone call from someone claiming the caller owed money and began to threaten the caller if they did not pay it soon. 12:56 p.m. A Cathlamet resident called to request medical assistance after his wife was stung by a bee. 2:24 p.m. Sheriff’s deputies assisted a driver who had locked their keys in the car on Greenwood Road. 5:23 p.m. A pedestrian called to complain that a vehicle nearly hit her while she was in the crosswalk on Main Street. 6:33 p.m. A concerned citizen called to report that a vehicle struck a dog on SR 409 and Welcome Slough Road, then continued driving without stopping.
Sept 13 2:18 a.m. A Rosburg resident wanted to have it documented that they had been experiencing an ongoing problem of people doing burnouts and going at a high rate of speed on Seal River Road. An elderly Cathlamet woman was transported to the hospital for breathing difficulties. 7:22 p.m. A camper at the Elochoman Slough Marina reported that someone tried to steal his cooler.
Sept 14 4:19 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported that residents in a neighboring unit were shining a flashlight in her window. Deputies arrived and learned that the neighbor was looking for a curtain rod with a flashlight. 9:05 a.m. The Naselle Ambulance transported an elderly Rosburg resident to the hospital. 11:52 a.m. A hiker on West Valley Road came across an unlocked vehicle full of camping gear and was concerned. Deputies located the registered owner, who stated they were out in the woods and would return in about an hour. 9:40 p.m. Deputies responded to collect a bag of an unknown substance believed to be drugs found on the floor of a Cathlamet business.
