Congrats to The Eagle

To The Eagle,

I wish to offer hearty congratulations to The Eagle —to its new publisher, Brian Fleming, and to the current editor and staff who have been doing a great job since the passing of Rick Nelson.

With Brian’s inspired vision, energy, and leadership, the publication definitely has exciting days ahead and, I’m certain, a continuing bright future!

As Brian mentioned in last week’s article, "The Eagle flies under new ownership," he and I first met when Columbia River Reader featured him in our “People + Place” cover story by Hal Calbom in February 2022. At the time, I described Brian as “a true Renaissance Man,” and have since enjoyed seeing manifestations of his talents emerge and grow. Becoming The Eagle's publisher seems to be a match made in heaven. I look forward to collaborations between The Eagle and Columbia River Reader.
