    Trudy Fredrickson|May 31, 2018

Another really busy week. Last Friday we celebrated my oldest son’s 50th birthday with lots of surprises for him. His two younger brothers met him on the golf course and he was totally dumbfounded. They hadn’t been together in two years. Another friend also arrived from Oregon to make it a foursome. In the meantime, his wife was decorating a warehouse with black and gold decor, a catered dinner and many more family and friends awaited his arrival. Such a fun day, plus I had five of my children to visit with all weekend. On Saturday, the whole f...

  • Memorial Day Breakfast set for Saturday

    Trudy Fredrickson|May 24, 2018

Well, I made it to California last Thursday in 11 hours, visited a few minutes with family, and slept a few hours. Got up on Friday and drove to Corning to spend the night in a motel 30 minutes from Chico where my granddaughter’s graduation took place at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Hot and blinding sun in the stadium. It is always so satisfying to see your grandchild completing a task that they chose for themselves. Madeline Nicole Fredrickson will be teaching Math at a middle school in Chico next year. This week will be a full one. My s...

HALF OVER--Here we are, half past the middle of May so I guess you know, we should be experiencing a lot of May flowers due to April showers, and even May showers, so I hope you're enjoying the blooms and not commiserating with some of us, who really can't handle all this pollen! It's also a time where keeping our cars from being covered in that light to heavy, green haze is a real challenge! Have you been enjoying the sunshine? I hope all of the animals you own have been too, but sadly, just about every day there are multiple reports of animal...

WEATHER--It was pretty nice at the beginning of last week, and then we cooled down a bit, with even a few showers falling here and there, but I was still able to get some flower bed work done, so I hope you got to enjoy the sunny times. This past weekend, we had a warmish Saturday but high clouds and sprinkles started in West Valley by late afternoon, so it wasn't as sunny and nice as some folks were experiencing. Sunday saw us taking turns between sunshine and clouds and quite a cool breeze, while just a few miles down the road, it was sunny...
