The Naselle Comets boys and girls postseason continued this week. Last Wednesday, the Naselle boys beat Firm Foundation 71-45. On Tuesday, they lost to Mossyrock 78-45. The Comets head to Montesano on Friday to play in a loser out game at 5:30 p.m. against an opponent that has yet to be determined. Sunday's Concert: It's a lovely Monday with fog lifting and sunshine coming through. A good day to smile and remember the wonderful concert yesterday at the packed Naselle Community Center with the Skamokawa Swamp Opera group. On January 17, the Naselle GRV School Board met with long range strategic planning as a goal for the coming months. During the meeting, issues of transparency and process were on the table twice. One of the goals of the board set this school year is transparency for the public. My friends, I know the rain can get to us, but please remember to take your Vitamin D because it helps the body with what the sun normally gives us the rest of the year. Ellen Marie Badger 83, of Cathlamet, died December 28, 2022 in a Vancouver care center. Ellen was born to Ross and Ruth (Hazzard) Davis in Kelso on February 28,1939. She attended school in Kelso. In 1957 she married Larry Badger and moved to Grays River. She and Larry raised their family there. She was a member of the Naselle School Board for several years. She and Larry loved camping with friends after the kids were grown. Ellen enjoyed ceramics, reading, doing puzzles and most of all loved time with her family. She will be remembered for the...
