Sheriff's Report - September 27, 2012

 

September 27, 2012



Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

September 17--10:49 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Jacobson Road woman who had an enlarged liver. 10:51 a.m. Deputies served a warrant at a Beaver Creek Road address. One person was taken into custody. 1:37 p.m. A caller reported two men on four wheelers were driving behind locked gates on a Wirkkala Road property. Deputies were unable to locate the men. 5:12 p.m. A caller reported that someone was moving his fishing nets in the Deep River area of the Columbia River. State Patrol was advised. 6:59 p.m. An Una Avenue resident reported someone had stolen a ladder. 7:21 p.m. The Grays River Fire Department responded to a report of a foul smelling smoke in the Raistakka Road area but were unable to locate the source. 10:15 p.m. The Puget Island Fire Department responded to a brush fire on School House Road.

September 18--10:24 a.m. An Ingalls Road resident reported receiving a threatening phone call. 11:07 a.m. A Oneida Road resident reported the theft of an outboard motor from a skiff moored on the river. 1:33 p.m. A caller reported being followed and harassed by men in a white van at the wildlife refuge. 2:42 p.m. A Covered Bridge Road resident reported that she had not received goods she had bartered for. A deputy was advised. 5:41 p.m. Deputies, the Cathlamet ambulance and a District #4 fire crew responded to a single vehicle accident on Una Avenue. One woman was treated for pain in her ankle and nose.

September 19--A report was received of a juvenile sexual assault. A deputy investigated. 2:41 p.m. A caller reported a student had been caught possibly selling drugs at the high school. A deputy responded.

September 20--11:05 a.m. A North Welcome Slough Road resident reported a theft of medications. A deputy was advised. 10:17 p.m. A caller reported that a man had tried to open the passenger side door of her car at a Cathlamet business.

September 21--10:10 p.m. A caller reported that a wanted subject was possibly living in the Altoona-Pillar Rock Road area.

September 22--12:40 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an Alger Creek Heights address to aid a 69-year-old male who had fallen from a ladder. 1:35 p.m. A Greenwood Road resdient reported that a neighbor had taken jewelry belonging to the caller's mother who was in a hospice.

September 23--11:43 p.m. A deputy made a vehicle stop on Barr Road. One person was taken into custody.
