Sheriff's Report - November 22, 2012

 

November 22, 2012



Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

November 5--3:08 p.m. An Altoona-Pillar Rock Road resident reported the theft of 20 feet of chain from a gate. A deputy was advised. 9:27 p.m. A Welcome Slough Road resident reported possible inappropriate contact between her boyfriend and her daughter. A deputy investigated and one person was taken into custody.

November 6--A South Welcome Slough Road resident reported that a neighbor had been burning garbage for two days.

November 7--4:45 p.m. A woman reported being threatened by her ex-husband.

November 8--6:44 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an East Valley Road address to aid an 85-year-old female who had fallen. 8:48 p.m. A caller reported a rockslide covering both lanes of SR4 near the Wahkiakum/Cowlitz county line. State Patrol and the Department of Transportation were notified. 8:39 p.m. A caller reported that campers on the Oneida boat ramp were firing guns. State Patrol was notified. The shooting eventually stopped.

November 9--10:17 a.m. A West SR 4 resident reported the theft of a utility vehicle. 5:31 p.m. An East Sunny Sands Road resident reported a burglary. 5:38 p.m. A caller reported possible vandalism to a car in the high school parking lot.

November 10--6:37 a.m. Deputies, the Cathlamet ambulance and the Cathlamet fire department responded to an accident involving an SUV with a boat trailer that had overturned on KM mountain. 1:06 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Jacobson Road address to aid a 30-year-old woman with chest pains. 2:02 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Jacobson Road address to aid a 104-year-old woman who had fallen. 5:39 p.m. A Hodgson Road resident reported possible poachers were still hunting after dark. 10:30 p.m. A West SR 4 resident reported that someone had cut phone lines and disabled a motion sensor light. A deputy investigated and found the caller's girlfriend had been on the property and caused the damage. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other.

November 11--4:43 p.m. A caller reported a tree limb had brought down power lines on East Birnie Slough Road. 7:47 p.m. A caller reported a large tree limb was blocking the westbound lane of SR 4, west of Nassau Point.

November 12--4:05 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Jacobson Road address to aid a 66-year-old woman who had fallen. 3:42 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to an East SR 4 address to aid a 14-year-old female who was having an apparent seizure. 6:25 p.m. Deputies and the Skamokawa and District #4 fire crews responded to a vehicle that had driven off the roadway and into a field on East Valley Road.

November 13--6:52 a.m. An Elochoman Valley Road resident reported that her ex-boyfriend was leaving animal body parts in her driveway. A deputy made contact. 1:37 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Glen Gate Loop address to aid a 34-year-old woman with pneumonia. 3:27 p.m. A Rosedale area resident reported a case of animal abuse.

November 14--9:30 a.m. A Messinger Hill Drive resident reported a case of possible drug abuse. 10:20 a.m. A Cathlamet business reported that a woman was refusing to leave the premises. 3:37 p.m. An Elochoman Valley Road resident reported gun shots. 6:59 p.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported a theft.

November 15--12:31 p.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported a dog was running loose. 12:55 p.m. An M Street resident reported that his dog was being attacked by a neighbor's dog.

November 16--1:19 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to the health clinic to aid a man with chest pain. 3:50 p.m. An Elochoman Valley Road resident reported an ongoing problem with an aggressive dog belonging to their neighbor.

November 17--12:55 p.m. A Greenwood Road resident reported getting harassing collect calls from the county jail. A deputy investigated.

November 18--11:40 a.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported the theft of a car. 12:49 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a 17-year-old male who had been injured in a skateboarding accident. 1:34 p.m. Deputies aided in the arrest of a subject on a felony warrant service. 2:23 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance and fire department responded to a Glen Gate Loop residence to aid a 46-year-old female with diabetes who was feeling unwell.
