    Charles L. Buennagel, 97, of Kent, formerly of Cathlamet and Everett, died Oct 14, 2019 at Valley Medical Center, Renton. Charlie was born on April 7, 1922, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Lawrence and Amelia (Knarzer) Buennagel. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1940, and Butler University in 1943. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1943 and spent three years. He was a pharmacist for all his working life, owning his own pharmacy in Everett for many years and later working as a hospital pharmacist.     Not much went right for the Wahkiakum Mules in their 37-0 game last Friday at Toledo. Toledo dominated the line of scrimmage, piling up 307 yards rushing to the Mules' 22. Injury problems hurt the Mules.     Volunteers who grew and distributed vegetables around Wahkiakum County were recognized and praised at Tuesday's meeting of the board of county commissioners. The volunteers worked in the community garden in Cathlamet and the Outdoor Café summer meals program at Wendt Elementary School in Cathlamet and Johnson Park in Rosburg.     The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers completed dredged material placement at Cape Horn east of Cathlamet on October 7. Cape Horn residents and officials from the Corps and Wahkiakum County gathered at Cape Horn Oct. 9 to celebrate.
