William “Big Bill” Reed Dasch died February 14, 2017. He was raised in Cathlamet Washington, born January 10, 1944 to his parents Wilma and Dale Dasch. A couple who recently moved to Cathlamet have brought a couple of new businesses to the area. Formerly residents of northern California, Forrest and Beth Mora have purchased a house on Greewood Hill. A memorial to honor local fishermen is in the works. Bud Lindwall was the catalyst for the project. When he passed away in January, it was suggested to Stephanie Olsen, who runs the local funeral home, that it might be better to recognize him on a memorial for commercial fishermen than to honor him with a memorial service. MIXED BAG--As February came to an end, we've had some sun, some rain, some hail, some snow and some very cold temperatures, so we've had it all it seems!
