Wahkiakum County Health Department has issued an Air Quality Advisory for Western Wahkiakum County due to a couple small fires north of Wahkiakum County near the Pacific/Lewis county line. Wahkiakum County is currently experiencing unhealthy air quality levels, based upon Washington State standards. Rosburg School Road Project Approved Wahkiakum County commissioners unanimously approved Professional Engineer Paul Lacy's proposal for the Rosburg School road. The plan calls for the widening of the present entrance and filling part of the ditch to better accommodate incoming and outgoing traffic. In recognition of the National Park System’s 103rd birthday, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission is offering free entrance to state parks on Sunday, Aug. 25. Day-use visitors will not need a Discover Pass to visit state parks by vehicle.
