Helen A. Seaberg

 


Lifelong resident of Puget Island, Helen Seaberg, born May 16, 1920 to parents Paul and Impi Lindwall, died April 1, 2016. A homemaker with many hobbies, she farmed and fished commercially with her late husband, Ed Seaberg who preceded her in death in 1991. They were married in Vancouver, Wash., in 1938.

She did taxidermy and lapidary work with agates and petrified wood. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed hybridizing rhododendrons, azaleas, and grafting mini-dwarf apple trees as well as collecting dwarf shrubs and trees and sharing them with others. She was a former member of the American Rhododendron Society and American Horticultural Society as well as other clubs. She also loved sewing, upholstery, wood veneering and roses.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Seaberg of Kelso and Richard Seaberg of Vancouver; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

By her request, there will be no service. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
