Gerald (Jerry) Willis Hinkson passed away September 29, 2023. Gerald was born November 2, 1935 in Los Angeles, CA, to Gerald O. and Rachel Hinkson. His family later moved to Ashland, OR, when he was about 10 years of age.

From 1956-58 he served a mission in the Southern States mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. On June 5, 1959 Jerry married Beverly Jean Schwab in the LDS Los Angeles Temple.

Jerry served honorably in the national guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, handball and motorcycles. He also enjoyed wood working as a hobby. Jerry worked most his life at Longview Fibre in the fabshop as a welder.

Gerald is survived by, Beverly, his wife of 64 years; his Sister Joy Ann Markham; his brother Ren Hinkson; his daughters Sheila Welhoelter (Brian), Cynthia Stocker (Karl), Melissa Dasher (Rick), Paula O’Malley (Leigh), and Amanda Hinkson; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. 2884 North Pacific Avenue Kelso, WA 98626.
