The Wahkiakum Mule wrestling team went to a 2A tournament at Holquim last Saturday and came home with a load of medals. As a team they were one of the smallest in the tournament, wrestling against such teams as Elma and Woodland, yet were able to come away with fourth place. The last two weeks before Christmas brought the Wahkiakum Mule wrestling team into their toughest competition of the year, Coach Matt Stacey reported this week. Competition included the Mules' own Downriver Challenge and the Oroville Tournament. They've faced competitors from perennial powerhouses such as Pomeroy, Tacoma Baptist and Concrete/Darrington.
