A curator really shouldn't be on the board, Kandoll noted, but she is. She's needed. When she started in 2007, she was indexing articles from old newspapers. She became fascinated by the stories...

Art has been a family affair for Wahkiakum County resident Joan Wren. It's also been a kind of quiet meditation for everyone, in one way or another. Wren's mother, Helma Rohloff, took up painting in her 60s but she had always been creative. Three of her paintings of Cathlamet hang in the Tsuga Gallery right now, with the work from three more generations of her family. Wren started making jewelry in her 50s after a granddaughter asked her for a little help making a bracelet. Technically, it...

SUPER NICE--In spite of some early morning fog, the weekend weather was certainly dry and nice and it's going to be missed, as rain is scheduled to take its place by the time you read this. Then again, we are nearing the end of October, so I guess we have to expect that our nice weather can't last forever. It sure was nice while we had it, and with a little luck, we won't stay in a rainy pattern too long and be able to enjoy some more nice Fall days soon. SPECIAL DAYS--We wish a Happy Birthday to those celebrating their special day from Oct....
