    The Wahkiakum High School Key Club will hold a rummage sale next Thursday, 12-3 p.m., in the Wendt Elementary School Multipurpose Room, 265 S. 3rd St., Cathlamet. Proceeds will be used to fulfill holiday wishes for children in need. The Wahkiakum High school is going to buy gifts for all of the angels on the local trees.     Madison Mace has been chosen as the Wahkiakum Lions Club November Student of The Month. She is on the varsity basketball team again this year. She loves the outdoors and outdoor sports. Madison has been accepted into The National Honor Society which allows her to tutor younger students.   • Four-day razor clam dig begins Dec. 1

    Razor clam diggers will have the opportunity to fill their limits during a four-day dig beginning Dec. 1 on various ocean beaches. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) approved the Dec. 1-4 dig on evening tides after marine toxin tests show the clams are safe to eat. No digging will be allowed before noon. Some areas have a mix of both large and small razor clams.     State shellfish managers have delayed the opening of the commercial Dungeness crab fishery on Washington's coast due to inadequate meat in crab shells. The commercial fishery on Washington's coast typically opens Dec. 1. Recent testing indicates crabs along the coast do not have sufficient meat in their shells to meet industry standards for harvest.
