On July 8-12, WSU Master Gardeners will host Camp Luqal Luqal for youth in grades 1-3 from 8-11:30 a.m. Camp will be held for youth in grades 3-5 in the afternoon from 1-4 p.m. The week-long camp provides a hands-on experience for youth to explore the world of bugs, plants, and weather. The Friends of Skamokawa (FOS) have announced the continuation of the Janet Cimino Estate Art sale at Redmen Hall until June 1. This is a benefit for Tsuga Gallery - a Wahkiakum gallery for local artists funded by the Janet Cimino Estate. All proceeds will go to Tsuga Gallery. A large crowd gathered last Wednesday morning for a ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate Wahkiakum PUD’s new substation on Jacobson Road. Navy Seaman Morgan B. Harris, daughter of Shelly Klecker of Cathlamet and Virgil L. Harris of Kelso recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
