Writer from Sweden searching for relatives

To The Eagle:

Hello, My name is Annica Eriksson and I am from Sweden. It seems that parts of my family went to America as a lot of other Swedes did. I found a letter from one of them that lived in Cathlamet. She died in 1989 (17/8) and her name was Helga Benson Head.

She came to America in 1912 with her mother Berna (Bernhardina) and her grandfather. Her father had probably left Sweden earlier I think. I found a letter that Helga had sent in 1968 to my father and mother in Gothenburg. She mentioned a son and his three daughters. They lived in Portland, Ore., she said. But she never wrote any names or addresses.

So I just ask you if you could help me finding them. By names or addresses or anything. I remember Helga in 1968. I was only eight years old but I thought it was very exiting. Visiting family from USA! Helga B. Head and her husband, John Alden Head, are buried at Greenwood Cemetery. She died in 1989 and John Alden on Nov 28, 1952. John Alden’s parents were Eliza Filer Head 1870-1966 and William Wilkie Head 1866-1965. They are also buried at Greenwood. Helga’s Swedish parents are also buried at Greenwood. John and Berna Benson. My question is if there is some way for me to find the names and maybe addresses to Helga’s son and his children? They lived in Portland in 1968. Some information have I found but not more than I write in this letter. It should be very nice if there is a chance to get in contact with these relatives. I know that this is a strange thing to send a email about. By the way; the last address on this letter from 1968 is: Mrs John A. Head, Cathlamet, Washington 98612, USA. It would be so nice to find more relatives in USA! Best,

Annica Eriksson , Johns Väg 9,
