Meetings of the Cathlamet Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous at Hope Center have resumed, the group announced this week. Merle A. Brockway, 84, of Longview, died July 25, 2020 at his home. He was born in Oronoco, Minnesota on September 18, 1935 to Lloyd and Elsie (Roslach) Brockway. He was one of eight children. His family moved to Cathlamet where he was raised and attended school before he started his long logging career. In the mid fifties he married Darlene, his first wife and they had two children, Phillip and Beverlee and later divorced. He married Joanne Cook on June 5, 1965.
