    Applications for the Cispus experience for the entire eighth grade class for May 13– 15 went home to parents on March 29.     Plan to attend the 2007 Spring Lambing Management School on April 27 and 28, on Puget Island. The purpose of the school is to give producers some experience when possible in assisting ewes with dystocia, caring for newborn lambs and general care and management of a farm flock.     The Washington State Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in the case of Hans York et al versus the Wahkiakum School District on the afternoon of May 8. The plaintiffs have appealed a Wahkiakum Superior Court decision made last year that upheld the school district’s random drug testing program for students turning out for high school sports.     Wahkiakum PUD is going to study the feasibility of expanding the Western Wahkiakum Water System to Oneida and Salme Hill neighborhoods. Warren and Pam Anderson, who live near the foot of Salme Hill, have presented petitions signed by 19 property owners requesting PUD water service. The Andersons operate a campground along SR 4 and have been told by the county health department they must obtain an approved water source. The team of five freshmen and one sophomore includes Cody Olsen, Chase Fritzie, Cole Clausen, Justin McClain, Andrew Weiler and Mike Paulsen. Bill Olsen is coach.     The Wahkiakum Mule baseball team lost two Central League games last week. The Mules lost 8-6 March 28 at Adna.     Go, look for funds, Wahkiakum County commissioners told Sheriff Dan Bardsley on Tuesday when he asked for money to evaluate the county’s radio network.
