    The Wahkiakum High Mule and Thomas Middle School Warrior cross country teams traveled to Lacey on Tuesday to compete in the Bill Kehoe Invitational and to Ridgefield last Wednesday, October 8 to compete in the Trico 1A hosted by LaCenter. At St. Martin University in Lacey, seventh grader Ted Stacey competed against 65 other middle school boys in a 1.25 mile race. He placed 13th with a time of 7:47, only 33 seconds behind the leader.     The Wahkiakum Mini-Mules football team achieved another win last Saturday at Kelso High School, beating a Longview team 34-0. The win brought the team's record to 4-0 in league play, with two games remaining. In the first quarter, Brody Carlson scored on a 35-yard counter to the left end to put the Mini-Mules up 6-0. The Toutle Lake Ducks brought their game and pink uniforms to Tuesday's Pink Out match in honor of Brandi Knowles Thomas and Breast Cancer Awareness. In the first half, Gabe Moon scored on a three yard quarterback keeper to the right for a touchdown to go up 6-0.     The Wahkiakum Mule cross country team traveled to Ilwaco last Thursday to compete in the Joe William’s Black Lake Invite, a three mile race for high school runners. Elliott Haney took the best time for the boys with a 21:46.4. He came in 30th place. Luke Stacey took 37th with a time of 22:12.5 and Nevan Bingham placed 45th with a time of 22:49.4.
